Jim Pao

Jim Pao is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in project and portfolio management within the IT sector. Currently serving as Deputy Commissioner and ePMO Head at the NYC Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications since 2019, Jim Pao drives strategic alignment to support technology initiatives for New York City agencies. Prior to this role, Jim Pao held various leadership positions at Novartis from 2003 onwards, including VP, Head IT PMO and Global Head of PH IT Project & Portfolio Management Tools and Processes. Earlier career experiences include project management roles at JPMorganChase and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Jim Pao holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus on Cognitive Sciences and HCI Design from Stony Brook University.
