Patricia McGovern is an accomplished professional in regulatory affairs with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Innovation Regulatory Affairs at Novartis since December 2018, Patricia McGovern oversees regulatory support for digital medicine, including software as a medical device (SaMD), artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), and blockchain technologies. Prior to this role, Patricia McGovern held several key positions at Novartis from 1991 to 2018, including Global Head of Digital Medicine and Devices, Global Therapeutic Area Lead for Respiratory, Hypertension, and Metabolism, and Global Program Regulatory Director. Patricia McGovern began their career as a Chemistry Manager at PTRL from 1988 to 1990. Educational credentials include a PhD in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and an AB in chemistry from Barnard College.
