Richard Castro

Richard Castro has extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering and product development. Richard currently serves as the Vice President of Product Development at NovaSignal since July 2021, where they lead the development of new products. Prior to this role, they worked as the Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering and Principal Electrical Engineer at NovaSignal from June 2020 to June 2021.

Before joining NovaSignal, Richard was a Co-founder of Rebelstack from October 2015 to October 2017. At Rebelstack, they provided electrical engineering consulting services specializing in high-frequency mixed signal and RF design. Richard'sresponsibilities included system architecture design, schematic and layout design, and prototype circuitry implementation and evaluation against FCC and CE standards.

Richard also worked as a Consultant in RF and Electrical Engineering at Fluid Synchrony from January 2016 to December 2016. From July 2011 to October 2015, they served as the CTO and Hardware Engineer at Envision Diagnostics, where they oversaw technology strategy and hardware development.

Richard'searlier experience includes a role as a Principal Engineer at Second Sight Medical Products from 2002 to 2011. In this position, they made significant contributions to the engineering team.

Richard Castro received their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Caltech in the years 1996 to 2000. Richard went on to pursue their Master's Degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at UC San Diego from 2000 to 2002.
