Caitlin Pentifallo PhD has a diverse work experience that spans from 2010 to the present. Caitlin has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing their expertise in program evaluation, impact measurement, strategy development, and research.

From 2023 until now, Caitlin is working as the Product Lead for Metrics & Guidance at Novata, where they are responsible for leading the development and implementation of metrics and guidance for products.

Prior to Novata, Caitlin founded and served as the Lead Impact Strategist at Bingo Impact Management Consulting from 2020 to 2023. In this role, they developed a software-as-a-service technology offering dedicated to helping non-profits access program evaluation tools. Caitlin also worked with corporate, government, and non-profit agencies to develop strategies, evaluation frameworks, and metrics for environmental, social, and economic impact projects. Their work at Bingo Impact Management Consulting was recognized when they were selected as one of ten entrepreneurs in Invest Ottawa's first SheBoot cohort.

Before their time at Bingo Impact Management Consulting, Caitlin worked in the Government of Canada as a Senior Research and Policy Analyst from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they developed systems for evaluation, monitoring, and reporting for over 80 recipient non-profit organizations. Caitlin also led the design and implementation of a governance-focused evaluation, receiving the Assistant Deputy Minister Award for innovation in public service in spring 2021.

From 2014 to 2021, Caitlin served as the Principal at Halcyon Sport and Event Consulting. Working with government organizations, non-profits, and host organizing committees, they focused on legacy planning, impact reports, and strategic investments for major events. Their clients included prominent events such as the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, 2018 Grey Cup, and 2020/21 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships.

Caitlin also gained valuable experience at viaSport BC from 2014 to 2018, where they held various leadership positions. As the Director of Innovation and Impact, they developed and implemented strategic funding frameworks totaling $8 million CAD. Caitlin also oversaw research activities and partnerships and delivered policy and funding recommendations to the provincial government of British Columbia's Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture. Caitlin also held the roles of Director of Strategic Investment and Strategic Advisor, Research and Special Projects during their time at viaSport BC.

Their early career included working as a Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia from 2010 to 2014, and as a Research Coordinator at the Centre for Sport and Sustainability from 2010 to 2012.

Caitlin Pentifallo, PhD, completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government at Middlebury College from 2005 to 2009. Caitlin then pursued their PhD in Sociology at The University of British Columbia, where they studied from 2010 to 2015.

In 2013, Caitlin was awarded the Postgraduate Research Grant from the International Olympic Committee. Caitlin later returned to The University of British Columbia as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in 2020, which lasted until 2021.

In terms of additional certifications, Caitlin became a Credentialed Evaluator through the Canadian Evaluation Society, Société canadienne d'évaluation, in October 2019. Caitlin obtained certification as a Social Return on Investment professional from the Institute of Leadership and Management in May 2019. Caitlin also completed the Global Reporting Initiative certification through Sustainalytics in April 2012. Additionally, they hold membership in the American Evaluation Association and is an Innoweave Coach accredited by The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation, obtained in April 2021 and August 2020, respectively.
