Lane Felker has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. They started their career as a Computer Science Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington in 2013. They also worked as a Software Development Intern at the university in 2014. During their time at the university, Lane also had roles as a Software Developer, Field Crew Leader, and Undergraduate Researcher, where they contributed to projects involving wildflower species distribution modeling and snowmelt prediction.
After their time at the university, Lane worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Cisco Meraki and Groupon in 2015. They then joined the Taskar Center for Accessible Technology, where they worked as a Software Engineer. In this role, they built a data processing pipeline and an Android application to enhance accessibility for people with limited mobility.
In 2017, Lane started working at 98point6 Inc. as a Software Engineer. They progressed to the role of Software Engineer II and later became a Senior Software Engineer. 98point6 Inc. offers primary care services through technology and board-certified physicians.
Currently, Lane is employed at Novata as a Senior Software Engineer.
