Yulong Hong

Yulong Hong is a Senior Scientist in Upstream Process Development at Novavax since March 2024. Previously, Yulong Hong spent over 23 years at Corning Incorporated, advancing through roles from Development Associate and Project Leader to Senior Research Scientist. Responsibilities included leading cross-functional teams in product and process development for Corning Life Sciences, with notable contributions including the Corning® Ascent® Fixed-Bed Reactor platform and various cell culture products. Earlier experience at Pfizer involved the validation of therapeutic GPCR targets and the development of functional assays. Yulong Hong holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The City University of New York, along with postdoctoral training in Cell Biology from the University of Michigan, and earlier degrees in Analytical Biochemistry and Analytical Chemistry from Peking University.
