Ganesh Panneer

Ganesh Panneer is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in operations and business management, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Novelis since April 2011. In this role, Ganesh oversees North America Operations, encompassing 17 facilities and 4,300 employees with an annual cost of goods sold exceeding $5 billion. Ganesh has achieved significant improvements in safety performance, operational efficiency, and process stability, while also working on the implementation of world-class manufacturing systems. Previously, Ganesh held various leadership positions at Novelis, including Vice President & General Manager for Automotive and Specialties, where strategic growth and integration initiatives were successfully executed. Prior to Novelis, Ganesh was engaged as an Engagement Manager at Booz & Company and held roles in product management at DaimlerChrysler. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University.
