Tony Sheppard

Tony Sheppard has extensive experience in the field of technology and finance. Tony is currently the Director of IT - BRM Finance & Procurement at Novelis since August 2021. Before that, Tony was the Principal/Owner of Sheppard & Company LLC, where they partnered with leadership to drive innovation, eliminate operational inefficiencies, and implement growth and technology strategies related to ERP, Cloud, SaaS, and Devops.

Prior to starting their own company, they worked at Verizon for over 20 years in various roles. As a Sr. Manager and Technical Manager, Tony led teams that supported ERP infrastructure and security, leveraging cloud and virtual technologies to deliver significant business value and savings. Tony also played a key role in system design and support for finance datamarts and led cross-functional teams for interface and conversion projects.

Before joining Verizon, Tony gained experience in budget services and administration at The University of Alabama and worked as an Apprentice Appraiser at Madison Country Alabama - Tax Assessors Office.

Tony Sheppard obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from The University of Alabama. Tony also holds a certification in High Performing BRM from Barkley Consulting Group, which they obtained in 2023.
