Chongyee Tan

Chongyee Tan's work experience begins with an internship as a Mechanical Engineer at iWOW Communications Pte Ltd in 2006. They then worked as a Lead Process Engineer at Philips from February 2008 to March 2011. Following this, Tan was an Investment Manager at Mercatus Capital Pte Ltd, responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating investment deals, as well as managing portfolio companies from 2011 to 2014. From 2015 to 2019, they served as an Investment Manager at the National University of Singapore, where they originated, evaluated, and prepared startups for investment, conducted deal structuring, negotiation, and due diligence, and mentored and advised startups in various aspects of business. In 2019, Tan joined Farquhar Capital as a Director. Currently, they hold the positions of Executive Advisor and Head of Strategy at Novelship, starting in May 2020 and May 2021 respectively.

Chongyee Tan earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, starting in 2003 and completing in 2007. Chongyee then pursued a Master's degree in Technopreneurship & Innovation from Nanyang Technopreneurship Center, which they obtained in 2011. Additionally, they hold a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the American Society for Quality, with the specific date of achievement not provided.
