Walt Merchant

Walt Merchant is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in industrial design across various industries. Currently serving as the Founder of Pencil & Arrow Co. since January 2023, Walt focuses on design services for the archery and outdoor adventure sectors. As Design Manager for Novem Group since July 2020, Walt leads design leadership and product strategy for the US team and has successfully redesigned the customer experience. Additionally, Walt has operated Walter Merchant Design LLC as Senior Designer since June 2011, providing industrial design services. Previous roles include Senior Industrial Designer at Adient, where responsibilities encompassed automotive and aerospace interior/seating design, as well as consulting for private aviation projects and contributing to significant design initiatives with companies like LPK and Hasbro. Walt holds a Bachelor of Science in Transportation Design from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial and Product Design from Kendall College of Art and Design.
