Dennis Huisman

Dennis Huisman currently serves as the Supervisor of Safety and Security for Novi Community School District since August 2023 and is also a Police Academy Instructor at Oakland Community College since August 2022. Additionally, Dennis has been an Adjunct Instructor at St. Clair County Community College since January 2015. Previous experience includes a lengthy tenure as a Police Officer for the City of Port Huron from March 2010 to September 2023, a Loss Prevention Officer at JCPenney from August 2008 to February 2010, and a Police Cadet for the City of Kentwood from April 2006 to July 2008. Dennis Huisman holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the University of Cincinnati, obtained between 2012 and 2014, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Grand Valley State University, earned from 2004 to 2008. Education also includes studies at Grand Rapids Community College in 2009 and high school completion at South Christian High School from 2000 to 2004.
