João Almeida

João Almeida's work experience includes various roles in different companies. João started their career at Ernst & Young in 2007 as an Auditor, where they worked until 2008. João then joined Novabase as a Consultant from 2008 to 2009. Afterwards, they joined NOVO BANCO in 2009 and held different positions, including Middle Office Analyst, Money Market Trader, FX Proprietary Trader, and, most recently, Head of FX Trading Desk since April 2019.

João Almeida earned a Licentiate degree in Economics from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. In 2006 and 2007, they had the opportunity to further their studies in Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) as part of the Erasmus program. In 2014, they briefly attended Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, although no specific degree or field of study information is provided for that period.
