Jens Peter Holst Lauritsen

Jens Peter Holst Lauritsen is the Scientific Manager at Novo Nordisk Foundation. Jens has also been an Associate Professor at University of Copenhagen and a Postdoctoral Associate at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Lauritsen received their PhD in Molecular Biology from University of Southern Denmark in 2003. After their postdoctoral studies, they became an Associate Professor at University of Copenhagen in 2012. In this role, they were responsible for supervising undergraduate and graduate students, as well as teaching classes on molecular biology. Jens also conducted research on various projects related to cancer and diabetes.

In 2016, Lauritsen left University of Copenhagen to join Novo Nordisk Foundation as the Scientific Manager. In this role, they are responsible for managing the Foundation’s research programs and initiatives. Jens also provides guidance and support to the Foundation’s grantees and awardees.

Jens Peter Holst Lauritsen earned their doctorates from the University of Copenhagen and their masters from the same institution.

Jens Peter Holst Lauritsen reports to Lene Oddershede, SVP, Natural & Technical Sciences, Professor. They work with Morten Busch - Senior Lead Scientific Editor, Paul Franks - Scientific Director, Clinical Science, and Sisse Marquina-Jongberg - Scientific Manager.
