Mads Hjorth

Mads Hjorth is currently serving as a Senior Scientific Lead at the Novo Nordisk Foundation, focusing on Obesity and Nutritional Sciences since August 2021, having previously held the position of Senior Scientific Manager in the same field. Prior to this role, Mads worked as a Senior Medical Writer at Novo Nordisk for a brief period in 2021. From June 2015 to May 2021, Mads was an Associate Professor and Head of Section in the Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports at the University of Copenhagen, specializing in Obesity Research. Mads also held various academic positions, including Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Postdoc at the Institut for Idræt og Ernæring at the University of Copenhagen. Mads completed a PhD and served as a Research Assistant, with education culminating in a Master's degree in Human Nutrition and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the University of Copenhagen.
