Rasmus Borgquist

Rasmus Borgquist is an accomplished medical professional specializing in cardiovascular medicine with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academia. Currently serving as the Medical Director and Head of Cardiovascular Medicine at Novo Nordisk Foundation since December 2022, Rasmus previously held the position of Senior Medical Lead. Rasmus has been an Associate Professor at Lunds Universitet since August 2015 and has served in various senior roles, including Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Skånes Universitetssjukhus from January 2020 to December 2022 and Head of the Department of Cardiology at Aarhus Universitetshospital from September 2018 to December 2019. Rasmus also led the Electrophysiology and Cardiac Arrhythmia Department at Region Skåne from August 2015 to September 2018 and worked as a Consultant Cardiologist at Lunds University Hospital and Malmö University Hospital. Rasmus earned a PhD from Lund University in 2006 and an MD in Medicine from the same institution in 1999.
