Andrea Zamudio

Andrea Zamudio is currently a Student Assistant at Novo Nordisk and serves as the University Relations Chair for the SHPE North Carolina Professional Chapter, acting as a liaison between state student chapters and the professional chapter. Previous experience includes a Quality Engineer Intern role at John Deere, where Andrea led a team during annual Process Quality Audits and improved PQA structures. As President of SHPE at NC State, Andrea held multiple leadership positions, including Administrative Officer and Academic Development Chair. In co-op roles at Novo Nordisk, significant contributions involved reducing bottleneck processes and updating operational procedures. Additional internship experience at GE HealthCare focused on logistics cost reduction in a global context, while a Climate Strategy Intern position with the City of Raleigh involved researching and proposing initiatives for climate goals. Andrea is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering with a Health Systems Certificate from North Carolina State University, set to graduate in May 2025.
