Birthe Ravn

Birthe Ravn is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in microbial physiology, strain development, and automation technology. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist in Upstream Development at Novo Nordisk since August 2022, Birthe previously held senior roles at Bacthera, where responsibilities included strain characterization and production for Live Biotherapeutical products, and Novozymes, where significant achievements encompassed the development of automated screening methods and participation in new screening platforms for lactic acid bacteria. With a foundational career initiated as a Research Assistant at DTU, Birthe has contributed to research across various prestigious organizations in microbiology and enzyme discovery, supported by a Master of Science degree from The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University.
