Mishal Patel

Mishal Patel is an accomplished professional in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital research, and data analytics, currently serving as the Corporate Vice President of AI and Digital Research at Novo Nordisk since September 2022. Prior to this role, Patel held multiple senior positions at AstraZeneca from February 2018 to July 2023, including Executive Director & Global Head of Imaging, AI & Data Analytics, along with leadership in machine learning and healthcare analytics. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Computer Scientist at Royal Surrey County Hospital, a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at The Institute of Cancer Research, a Quantitative Researcher at J.P. Morgan, and a Computational Chemist at Pfizer. Patel completed a PhD and served as a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton from 2005 to 2010.
