Morten Hansen

Morten Hansen, MD PhD, serves as Vice President of the Rare Disease Therapy Area in Clinical Medical Regulatory at Novo Nordisk since November 2014, leading a team focused on clinical development and research within the company's portfolio that includes diabetes, obesity, NASH, CVD, and CKD. Hansen has held various significant roles within Novo Nordisk, including Executive Director and Senior Director, managing medical and scientific departments and contributing to global development initiatives. Prior to joining Novo Nordisk, Hansen was engaged in research and clinical training at institutions such as the Center for Diabetes Research and Gentofte Hospital. Hansen completed a PhD at the University of Copenhagen, focusing on the role of bile acids in GLP-1 secretion in the context of Type 2 diabetes, after obtaining a medical degree from the University of Southern Denmark.
