Frank Haagensen currently serves as the Head of Applied R&D for Fermented Dairy Alternatives at Novonesis, a role initiated in June 2024, where responsibilities include global oversight of R&D and technical support for developing fermented dairy alternatives. Prior to this, Frank held significant positions at Chr. Hansen from December 2020 to June 2024, focusing on global applications in plant-based dairy and managing R&D project teams. Frank's extensive experience at Novozymes from 2005 to 2020 encompassed various leadership roles, including Sr. Department Manager, where the focus was on applied research for baking innovations, and several project management positions in biofuels and biomass-to-ethanol commercialization. Earlier academic experience includes a position as Assistant Professor at BioCentrum-DTU, guiding research on bioethanol production and teaching in related fields. Frank holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology and an MSc in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.
