Irem Alvemar

Irem Alvemar is a seasoned professional in corporate strategy and management with extensive experience in leading strategic projects and initiatives across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Corporate Strategy and M&A Manager at Novonesis since January 2024, Irem previously held the role of Manager Corporate Strategy at Novozymes, where responsibilities included corporate strategy formulation, merger integration planning, and change management. Prior to Novozymes, Irem spent eight years at Volvo Group in various leadership positions such as Director Group Strategy, Director Executive Board Coordination, and Director Corporate Social Responsibility, focusing on driving strategic investigations, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and implementing CSR strategies. Earlier career highlights include work as a Management Consultant at Volvo Group and SAP MM Consultant at Bimsa. Irem holds a Master of Science in Innovation & Industrial Management from the University of Gothenburg and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Sabanci University.
