Pil Uthaug Rasmussen

Pil Uthaug Rasmussen is an experienced professional with a strong background in innovation and business portfolio management, currently serving as an Innovation & Business Portfolio Specialist at Novonesis since January 2024. Prior to this role, Pil worked as an Innovation & Business Portfolio Specialist at Chr. Hansen from June 2023 to January 2024. Pil has substantial research experience, having served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Det Nationale Forskningscenter for Arbejdsmiljø, focusing on workplace exposure to microorganisms from August 2019 to May 2023, and previously as a Researcher at Stockholm University from April 2014 to June 2019, where the research involved DNA sequencing of plant-associated fungi. Pil obtained a PhD in Ecology and Evolution from Stockholm University in 2018, following a Master of Science in Biology from Københavns Universitet and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the same institution. Additionally, Pil has held various academic roles, including teaching assistant and PhD board chairman, and gained research experience during a visiting PhD stint at The James Hutton Institute.
