Bill Coleman

Distinguished Scientist at NovoNutrients

Bill is an expert in enzyme evolution, industrial microbiology, and synthetic biology for engineering bacterial strains to produce biomass, chemicals and biofuels. He co- founded the methane-to-liquid fuels bioconversion platform at Intrexon and specializes in culturing gas-fermenting bacteria. He was previously Director of Enzyme Engineering at Protelica and Chief Science Officer at Kairos Scientific. Bill is the co-inventor of NovoNutrients technology. He has authored over 40 scientific publications and has eight issued patents. He holds two biology degrees: a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Urbana.
