Matt Lucas

Matt brings a technical background in carbon capture and experience in project finance to NovoNutrients. He currently runs business development at New Energy Risk, an innovative insurance firm that aids novel industrial processes in raising initial project financing. Previously, Matt was associate director of carbon tech for Carbon180 (formerly Center for Carbon Removal), where he personally recruited an Advisory Network of nearly one hundred corporates, institutional investors, functional and technical specialists, and government stakeholders. He has also been a technology scout for Siemens TTB, the corporate venture & startup partnership group, and an early employee at three hard-tech startups and an accelerator for waste-to-value innovation. Matt received his Masters and PhD from UC Berkeley in Mechanical Engineering.
