Dave Hughes

Dave Hughes is the CEO of novosound, a company that specializes in high frequency ultrasound imaging. Prior to their current position, Dave worked as a visiting sabbatical researcher at the Riverside Research Institute in New York City and as a research fellow at the University of the West of Scotland. Dave's research group focused on applications of high frequency ultrasound in biomedical imaging, including dental imaging, medical diagnosis, and particle manipulation. Dave has also worked on developing flexible high frequency transducers and high frequency ultrasound arrays. Dave has received funding for their research from a number of sources, including SUPA, Medical Research Scotland, Innovate UK, and CENSIS.

Dave Hughes began their educational career by studying physics at the [University of Glasgow. Dave then went on to study biomedical engineering at the University of Strathclyde, where they earned their EngD.
