Bianca Cerqueira is the Co-Founder and COO of [NovoThelium](/org/novothelium). Prior to their current role, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at [UT Health San Antonio](/org/ut-health-san-antonio), a Teaching Assistant II at [The University of Texas at San Antonio](/org/the-university-of-texas-at-san-antonio), and a Molecular Biologist at QualTex Labs. 

Bianca has specialized skills in multimodal MRI, MRI analysis, MATLAB, small animal surgery, behavioral tests, statistical analysis, transcardial perfusion, histology, and IACUC protocol development. 

During their time as a Graduate Research Assistant, Bianca was awarded an American Heart Association Pre-Doctoral Fellowship and a Translational Science Training TL1 Pre-Doctoral Fellowship.

Dr. Bianca Cerqueira completed their undergraduate studies at the [University of Maryland](/org/university-of-maryland), where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology. Bianca then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from [UT Health San Antonio](/org/ut-health-san-antonio). Bianca is also a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist, having earned certification from the American Association of Tissue Banks.

Christina Cerqueira is the current Chief Marketing Officer at [NovoThelium](/org/novothelium). Christina has extensive experience in video production and marketing, having formerly worked as a Video Producer / Strategist at [Tripadvisor](/org/tripadvisor) from July 2019 to March 2020, and as a Senior Digital Video Producer at AJ+ from October 2013 to June 2018. At [Tripadvisor](/org/tripadvisor), Christina was responsible for producing video marketing content and increasing the company's YouTube backlinks by adding optimization features to 1,000 videos. Christina also increased the click-through rate by 30% through AB testing on thumbnails, tags, and titles. At AJ+, Christina produced daily videos on politics and culture, often managing the editorial team as a deputy executive producer. Christina increased network views by over 500 million on videos they pitched, scripted, and rough cut. Christina has also presented on-camera for live and filmed content, and interviewed high-profile individuals such as President Rousseff, #MeToo survivors, the Nigerian bobsled team, thought leaders, victims of hate crimes, and subject matter experts.

Lauren Cornell graduated from the joint Translational Science Doctoral program from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, University of Texas at San Antonio, and University of Texas at Austin. She holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University Of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She has a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from Texas A&M University. Lauren began her career in science at the University of Oxford in the Zoology department studying the origin of mankind and later moved on to focus on tissue engineering in the areas of materials development, nanoparticles, and guided nerve growth. She is currently participating in a post-graduate fellowship at the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research in the Department of Ocular Trauma where she is principal investigator on a corneal graft replacement research project. For the past decade, her research has focused on tissue engineering methods, with focus on stem cells, decellularization and sterilization methods of multiple tissue types, animal models and surgical techniques.

Paul Gallagher is an Advisory Board Member at [NovoThelium](/org/novothelium). Paul has also served as Vice President Of Strategic Marketing at AIRY3D, and Advisor at a company in Stealth Mode. Prior to that, they were Snr Dir Marketing and Business Development at OmniVision Technologies, Inc., and before that, they were Co-Founder and Advisor at [Cluster Imaging](/org/cluster-imaging).

Paul Gallagher

Dr. Lynda de la Viña is the Peter Flawn Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Technology Management and the Director of the Center for Global Entrepreneurship at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She previously served as Dean of the College of Business from 2004-2012.​

Dr. de la Viña was named one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics by Hispanic Business magazine, and has received both the Ford Salute to Education Award as well as the Jessie and Sue Oppenheimer Award of Excellence. She was an inaugural member of the advisory committee for the State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund, a $200 million fund created to foster innovation, research and job creation in emerging high-tech industries. She also completed a prestigious Kellogg Leadership Fellows Program.

With a distinguished career in academia and government service, Dr. de la Viña was the first Mexican-American woman at the secretarial level of the U.S. Treasury, where she served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy from 1998-2001. While her work portfolio was expansive dealing with domestic and international economic policy issues, she led Treasury teams on issues of personal commitment such as financial literacy, entrepreneurship development and U.S.-Mexico border development. Following her role at the Treasury, she joined Johns Hopkins University as associate dean of the Graduate Division of Business and Management, full professor and chair of the Department of Finance and International Business. 

Prior to her career in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. de la Viña served 19 years at UTSA in ascending positions of administrative responsibility. She joined the Department of Economics faculty in 1982 and was named executive director of the Institute for Studies in Business in 1985. She served as associate dean of graduate studies and research in the college from 1993-1998.​

She has co-founded several companies including Operational Technologies Corporation (OpTech) and Pronucleotein Biotechnologies in San Antonio, TX. Under her tenure, OpTech rose from a small incubator operation in downtown San Antonio to one of the largest minority-owned businesses in San Antonio. She continues to serve on the Board of Directors of OpTech. She also serves on the boards of the Center for International Private Enterprise, an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; the World Affairs Council; the Free Trade Alliance; and the Alamo Public Telecommunications Council.

Lynda De La Viña

Ramon Coronado, Ph.D., is the Director of the Lester Smith Medical Research Institute and an expert on decellularized liver and adipose tissue. His research focuses on new cellular therapies for veterinary and clinical applications. During his time as Director, he has received the Celltex Outstanding Investigator Award for novel and translatable work in the field of human stem cell therapy, became a Diplomat of the American Board of Regenerative Medicine, was appointed as an Institutional Review Board member at The Institute of Regenerative and Cellular Medicine Institutional Review Board and was appointed as the AACT Veterinary Advisory Committee Chairman for the Alliance for the Advancement of Cellular Therapies.

Shatha Dallo is the Chief Scientific Officer at NovoThelium. She is also a Research Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Shatha earned her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn.
