Oscar Wood is a music and theatre educator with over 10 years of experience working with young people. Oscar is currently the Co-Founder & Director at Now Press Play, a music education organisation that specialises in vocal coaching and performance opportunities for young people.
Previously, Oscar was the Vocal Lead at Newham Music, where they created and implemented the vocal strategy for the borough, led professional development for staff and delivered advisory work for heads of music. Oscar also conducted the 'Extraordinary Voices Choir' and arranged and conducted music for the Newham Youth Festival each year, with up to 1000 singers from across the borough.
Before that, Oscar was a Theatre Facilitator & Mentor at Bigfoot Arts Education, where they were responsible for leading whole-class PPA cover (curriculum through drama) and mentoring new facilitators. Oscar was also the co-ordinator at William Davis primary school.
Oscar has also worked as a Theatre Facilitator & Composer at Greenwich & Lewisham Young People's Theatre and as a Director at Upstage Performance Group.
Oscar Wood completed a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford.
