Larisa Thomas

Larisa Thomas has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to security, compliance, and IT auditing. Larisa is currently working as the VP of Security at Nox Health since 2022. Previously, Larisa served as the Chief Information Security Officer at City of Lakewood from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they held roles such as Director of Information Security & Compliance and Security & Compliance Consultant at Life Time Fitness from 2011 to 2017. Larisa also worked at Allstate as the PCI Program Manager in 2010, Target Corporation as the Technology Audit Lead from 2008 to 2010, WaMu as an IT Audit Supervisor from 2007 to 2008, CSAA (AAA California) as a Senior IT Auditor from 2004 to 2007, and 3M in different positions such as Security and Directory Project Manager, Senior IT Auditor, and Web Security Administrator from 1998 to 2004.

Larisa Thomas pursued their education at the University of Minnesota from 1995 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. In addition to their degree, Larisa has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. Larisa became an EC-Council's Certified Chief Information Security Officer in May 2019. Prior to that, they acquired an ISA certification from PCI SSC in June 2013, a PCIP certification from PCI SSC in November 2012, and a GSEC certification from SANS in August 2006.
