Maarten Thomas-Bosum

Maarten Thomas-Bosum has a diverse work experience history. Maarten is currently working as a Controls Engineer at Noya since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory from 2020 to 2022, first as a Science and Engineering Associate, supporting the TMO instrument at LCLS with controls engineering planning and development, and later as a Control Systems Engineering Intern, assisting with experiment setup and support. Before that, Maarten worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Boston College from 2018 to 2020, collaborating on projects related to all-inorganic halide perovskite solar cells and carbon dehydration techniques. Maarten also worked as a Team Leader at Galileo Learning in 2018 and as a Salesperson at Nordstrom from 2017 to 2018, where they sold high-end men's designer clothing and consistently ranked within the top 5% of salespeople in the store.

Maarten Thomas-Bosum completed their high school education at Burlingame High School from 2012 to 2016. They then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physics and a minor in Mathematics at Boston College, which they obtained from 2016 to 2020. In 2019, Maarten also participated in an exchange semester at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they studied both physics and Germanistik.
