Mike Beals

Mike Beals has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Mike began their career in the US Army, serving in various positions of increasing responsibility in a forward-deployed Infantry Battalion. After that, they worked as an HR Generalist in MSA - D&B Software and later as a Director in Dun & Bradstreet Software.

In the late 1990s, Beals joined VSG as a Partner and then moved on to META Group as a VP in the Sourcing Practice. Mike then joined EquaTerra as a Managing Director in the Governance Practice, where they were responsible for practice development and client engagements.

Beals later founded and served as the President of Governance Academy, LLC, where they helped business leaders and governance professionals in managing key suppliers to meet regulatory compliance requirements. Mike also founded NPI - Real Experts, Real Data, Real Savings, where they currently hold the role of VP and Advisory Services Practice Lead. In this position, they lead the Advisory Services practices and focuses on enterprise agreement renewals, SaaS usage optimization, and self-audit/audit defense.

Throughout their career, Beals has also been involved in providing advanced governance training through HfS Research and developing a governance software solution in EquaSiis. Mike'sexpertise lies in governance, outsourcing, shared services, and supplier management.

Mike Beals attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1980 to 1984, where they pursued their BS in Engineering with a focus on Computer Science.
