Vice President, Marketing at NPower

Binta Vann is the Vice President of Marketing at NPower. Binta has over fifteen years of experience in marketing, communications, and brand management.

Binta began their career at Verizon, where they worked for twelve years in various marketing roles. In their most recent position at Verizon, they served as the Director of Marketing Strategy. In this role, they were responsible for leading the integrated communication strategies for Foundation programs across five social cause areas. Binta also oversaw the rebranding of all external facets of the business to align it with corporate standards.

In 2014, Binta left Verizon to join BRIC - Arts and Media in Brooklyn as their Director of Marketing and Communications. In this role, they were responsible for the organization's marketing strategy, branding, PR, analytics and assessment. During their time at BRIC, they helped overhaul their social media presence and introduced storytelling, photo imagery, and short videos to engage their distinct audiences. Binta also architected the first-ever corporate responsibility campaign and created a never-ending great ideas environment inspiring unusual, engaging videos and infographics.

Binta is currently the Vice President of Marketing at NPower. In this role, they lead the marketing team and is responsible for creating and executing marketing plans that support the organization's strategic objectives. Binta has been instrumental in helping NPower grow their brand awareness and expand their reach through various marketing initiatives.

Binta Vann has an MBA in Marketing Strategy/Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business and a Bachelor of Art in English Lit & Womens' Studies from Spelman College. Binta is also LinkedIn Marketing Solutions Fundamentals Certified.

Binta Vann reports to Bertina Ceccarelli, Chief Executive Officer. Some direct reports include Jenelle Hopkins - Marketing Manager, Open - Director of Marketing Operations, and Joanna Rouse - Marketing Manager. They are on a team with Stefanie Boles - Chief Administrative Officer, Robert Vaughn - Chief Innovation Officer, and Kim Mitchell - Vice President, Program Strategy.
