Bobby Allyn

Bobby Allyn is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in covering technology, criminal justice, and national news. Currently serving as a Technology Correspondent for NPR since May 2019, Bobby reports on significant topics such as Big Tech, artificial intelligence, and privacy issues. Prior roles include General Assignment Reporter at NPR, where coverage involved national breaking news and significant political events, and Courts/Criminal Justice Reporter at WHYY, focusing on high-profile trials and the Philadelphia DA's administration. Bobby has also contributed to various publications and held positions in metropolitan reporting and investigative journalism, including work at The Tennessean, The Oregonian, and internships at prestigious organizations such as The New York Times and The Nation. Bobby holds a BA in Philosophy and Journalism from American University and has studied at the University of Gothenburg.
