Emma Bowman

Reporter

Emma Bowman is a seasoned reporter with extensive experience in digital news and audio storytelling, currently working at NPR since January 2015, with roles including Reporter, Associate Producer, Production Assistant, and Digital News Intern. In December 2019, Emma participated in a week-long workshop with Atlantic Public Media, producing a six-minute radio feature on the reintegration of a recently exonerated prisoner in Detroit. Previously, Emma interned at National Journal, contributing to web stories and political coverage while gaining hands-on experience with website redesign, and at Capital Public Radio, focusing on the production of a documentary project addressing high school dropout rates in Stockton, California. Emma holds a degree in History from UC Irvine and has studied Spanish Language, History, and Communications at the University of Córdoba in Spain.
