Hannah Bloch

Hannah Bloch is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in international news and editorial leadership. Currently serving as Senior Editor at NPR since June 2015, also holding roles as Lead International Digital Editor and International Digital Editor. Prior to NPR, Hannah was a columnist for "Work in Progress" at The Wall Street Journal and worked as a freelance journalist contributing to notable publications like National Geographic and Smithsonian Journeys. Previous roles include Projects Editor at National Geographic Magazine and various positions at Time Magazine, including Islamabad Correspondent and General Assignment Reporter. Hannah's career includes a tenure as Islamabad Bureau Chief for CNN. Educationally, Hannah holds a Master of Science in Journalism and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and language training in Urdu at the University of California, Berkeley.
