John Stempin

John Stempin is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in public radio and broadcasting. Currently serving as a Senior Producer and Newscaster at NPR since April 1998, John also owns Incident Reporter, a company that develops role-playing training systems for journalists. Previously, John functioned as a Freelance North American Correspondent for the Special Broadcasting Service in Australia and held various roles in news production, including News Director at North Carolina Public Radio-WUNC and Producer at Unistar Radio Networks. John began broadcasting career at Westwood One as a Producer and has built a rich background in news media since receiving an AAS in Broadcast Technology from Niagara County Community College.
