Mike Savage

Mike Savage is an experienced media professional currently serving as the Director and General Manager of 88.9 WEKU, overseeing a network of nine FM public radio stations in Central and Eastern Kentucky. In addition to this role, Mike is a member of the NPR Board of Directors and serves as the Board Secretary for the Association of Kentucky Public Radio Stations. Previously, Mike was President of SBC Consulting Services, where support was provided to public radio stations for revenue enhancement and content creation. Past management experience includes leading WBAA Public Radio and WKCC-FM, where significant audience and membership growth were achieved. Mike holds a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication from Miami University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Georgia State University.
