Mina Islam

Mina Islam, MBA, currently serves as a Senior Staff Accountant at NPR, where responsibilities include managing accounts payable and processing international vendor invoices. Previously, Mina worked at Westerman Hattori Daniels & Adrian LLP as a Staff Accountant, where duties involved coding invoices and handling transaction processes. Mina has gained diverse experience as an Avid Tutor with Fairfax County Public Schools, guiding students in writing and study skills, and as an International Intern with Women Against Violence, focusing on gender studies research and developing social media platforms. Additional internships include work with Towns Associations for Environmental Quality, which emphasized sustainable development practices, and as a Student Support at 2U for Georgetown University’s nursing program. Mina holds an MBA in International Business from American University, a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from George Mason University, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Political Science and Government from Northern Virginia Community College.
