Susanna Capelouto

Susanna Capelouto serves as the Southern Bureau Chief at NPR since February 2023, having previously held multiple editorial roles at WABE from March 2017 to January 2023, including Deputy Managing Editor and Senior Editor. With substantial experience at CNN International Commercial as a Writer and News Editor from August 2013 to January 2023, Susanna coordinated global news coverage and wrote extensively about international events. Earlier positions include Editor at WABE Radio and CNN, and Producer for CNN Radio, where focus was on audio storytelling. Susanna began her career as News Director and Reporter at Georgia Public Broadcasting, managing a public radio network and contributing to various esteemed outlets. Education was completed at Georgia State University.
