Sanna Ström

Sanna Ström has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Sanna has worked at NRC Group Finland as the Vice President of Corporate Responsibility, where they helped the organization meet customer expectations in a safe and responsible manner. Sanna also held the position of Vice President of HSEQ, where they ensured business continuity and implemented management systems for safety and quality certifications.

Prior to working at NRC Group, Sanna was the Vice President of HSEQ at VR Track Oy. In this role, they focused on improving organizational culture, safety procedures, and risk management in the infrastructure construction sector.

Sanna also worked at the Finnish Transport Safety Agency Trafi, where they served as the Head of Unit for Safety Management and held various roles as a Chief Adviser in Safety and Risk Management for the transport system and railways.

Before their time at Trafi, Sanna was a Safety Manager at CRH Finland Oy, coordinating safety in CRH Group companies in Finland. Sanna also had a secondment at CRH plc HQ in Dublin, Ireland, where they worked on a safety and social reporting project.

Sanna started their career as a Safety Manager at Rudus Oy, where they focused on developing safety management procedures and achieving zero accidents in the ready-mixed concrete business.

Sanna also worked at Elisa Oyj as a Project Manager for Safety and Security, improving safety measures in telecommunication facilities throughout the country.

In addition to their corporate experience, Sanna worked as a part-time project worker at the Association of Finnish Safety Managers, where they gained valuable industry knowledge.

Sanna Ström obtained a Master of Science (Tech.) degree in Safety Engineering from Tampere University of Technology from 1999 to 2007. Sanna also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from Häme University of Applied Sciences, HAMK, between 2015 and 2018.

In addition to their degrees, Sanna Ström has acquired additional certifications. Sanna obtained the ISO9001 Quality Management System Auditor/Lead Auditor certification from Bureau Veritas in November 2011. Furthermore, in March 2003, they obtained a Radiation Protection Degree from the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority in Finland.
