Cate Parrish, M.S. ACSM-CEP has a range of work experience in various roles. Cate currently works as an Account Coordinator at NRC Health since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Program Coordinator & Exercise Physiologist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from October 2020 to December 2021. Cate also served as a Research Exercise Physiologist at Emory University from June 2019 to October 2020. Before entering the field of exercise physiology, Cate gained experience in management as an Assistant Manager at Finger Lakes Running Company from August 2017 to May 2019. Cate also worked as a Fit Associate at Fleet Feet Sports Winston-Salem from June 2016 to May 2017. Cate began their career as a Graduate Assistant at Wake Forest University from August 2015 to May 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Fit Associate at Run For Your Life from March 2013 to July 2015.
Cate Parrish, M.S. ACSM-CEP completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, with a focus on Kinesiology and Exercise Science, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2015. Cate then pursued their Graduate studies at Wake Forest University Graduate School from 2015 to 2016, where they obtained their Master's degree in Health and Exercise.
In addition to their academic achievements, Cate Parrish has also obtained additional certifications to enhance their expertise. In 2014, they became a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. Cate further expanded their knowledge by completing a Health Coach certification program offered by UNCG Health Coaching Programs in 2017. Recently, in 2020, Cate Parrish obtained an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
