Kejian Wu has a diverse work experience in the field of augmented reality and visual-inertial system research. Kejian currently holds the position of Chief Scientist and Head of Augmented Reality Algorithms at Nreal, where they lead a team focused on building the algorithmic foundations of future consumer AR/MR glasses. Prior to that, they worked at Google as a Visual-Inertial System Researcher for Daydream, contributing to research in this area from October 2017 to December 2018. Before joining Google, Kejian Wu was a researcher at the University of Minnesota, where they collaborated with Project Tango, Google, as a member of the UMN MARS Lab. Kejian'sresearch focused on visual-inertial localization and mapping from September 2013 to December 2016.
Kejian Wu began their education at the High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University from 2003 to 2006. Kejian then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Zhejiang University from 2006 to 2010. Kejian Wu further pursued their educational journey at the University of Minnesota, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2010 to 2020.
