Jessica O'Neal has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jessica started their career as an Anchor and Reporter at WRDW-TV from 1991 to 1996. Jessica then worked as an Executive Producer at Knight Ridder/Tribune News in Motion from 1996 to 1998. After that, they became a Corporate Relations Manager at Allstate Insurance from 1998 to 1999.

From 1999 to 2009, they joined USA Today as a Deputy Managing Editor, managing a group of designers and graphic researchers for the website. During this time, they gained valuable experience in online storytelling.

In 2009, Jessica transitioned to Home Front Communications as the SVP and Director of Interactive, where they developed interactive strategies and solutions for clients.

Jessica later joined The Pew Charitable Trusts in 2010, where they initially served as the Senior Officer of Web, reorganizing the communications department and driving the digital content strategy. Jessica was then promoted to Director of Digital Communications, responsible for developing and driving enhanced digital strategies.

Currently, they work at NRECA, where they previously held the position of Director of Digital Strategy from 2014 to 2019. Jessica designed and implemented a digital strategy to meet key business goals, centralized content distribution, and built a best-in-class website and social media strategy. Due to their success in this role, they were promoted to Senior Director of Editorial and Digital Strategy, where they design high-level digital communication strategies focused on content development, distribution, and organizational change initiatives to increase brand awareness and engage target audiences.

Jessica O'Neal holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Communications from the University of South Carolina.
