Melissa E. Hughes

Melissa E. Hughes is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in project management and consulting across various sectors. Currently serving as a Sr. IT Project Manager at NRECA since October 2019, Melissa has demonstrated proficiency in Agile methodologies, specifically as a Scrum Master for projects involving Freddie Mac. Previously, at MEHughes, LLC, Melissa worked as an IT Consultant on federal contracts, contributing as a Scrum Master and Business Analyst. As President of BrightStar Care of Leesburg, Melissa expanded the client base significantly while overseeing multiple operational areas. Additional roles include leading product management teams at Distributed Solutions, Inc. and XATA Corporation, with a focus on software development and project management. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration from Metro State University.
