Paul Gutierrez

Paul Gutierrez has extensive work experience in legislative affairs and government relations. Paul has worked as a Senior Principal Legislative Affairs at NRECA, establishing relations with Congressional Members and their staff, as well as other government officials. Paul also served as the Executive Director at NM Association Counties, where they held responsibilities in executive management. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy Director of International Programs at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and as a State Director at USDA Rural Development. Paul has also held various roles at the United States Department of Agriculture, including Deputy Assistant Secretary, DAS for Civil Rights, and State Director of Farm Service Agency. Early in their career, they worked as the Director of Governmental Affairs at NM Farm and Livestock Bureau.

Paul Gutierrez attended New Mexico State University from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Agricultural Economics.
