Russell Wasson

Russell Wasson is an accomplished finance and accounting professional with extensive experience in the electric utility industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of Tax Finance and Accounting Policy at NRECA since January 2005, Russell advises on tax, finance, and accounting policies for members and related standard-setting bodies. As President of Russell D Wasson LLC since January 2000, Russell has developed strategic plans and financial policies for various clients. Previous roles include faculty member at Penn State's Advanced School of Power Engineering and leadership positions at Cajun Electric Power Cooperative and Utility Financial Advisors LLC. Russell’s career began at Arthur Young as a staff accountant, and Russell holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
