Joe Walters

Joe Walters serves as the Vice President of Enterprise Solutions at NRG Energy, where leadership is focused on enhancing human risk management and employee experience by overseeing a consolidated function that includes Safety, Security, Resiliency, and Real Estate. With a progressive career at NRG Energy, Walters has held multiple roles, including Vice President of Enterprise Security and Real Estate, and Senior Director of Enterprise Security and Real Estate, where strategic oversight and execution of security policies were paramount. Prior experience includes positions as Regional Security Director for North America at Baker Hughes and Regional Security and Business Continuity Manager at Technip - AMOS, along with a background in law enforcement as a Patrol/SWAT Officer and Port Security Specialist with the U.S. Coast Guard. Walters holds an M.S. in Security Management for Executives from the University of Houston-Downtown and a B.S. in Criminology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
