Tetsuya Inoue is a seasoned professional in the field of economic research and finance, currently serving as the Head of Policy Research at FinCity.Tokyo since May 2022, focusing on policy proposals to strengthen Tokyo's status as an international financial center. Tetsuya has been a Senior Researcher at Nomura Research Institute since December 2008, conducting extensive studies on financial markets and policy issues and managing the Financial Markets Panel at the University of Tokyo. Prior to this, Tetsuya held various leadership roles at the Bank of Japan from December 2000 to November 2008, including Associate Director General for International Finance, where contributions were made to global financial policy discussions during the financial crisis. Tetsuya holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Yale University and a B.A. in Economics from The University of Tokyo.
