James Li

James Li has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. James currently holds the position of Vice President, Business Transformation at NS BlueScope, where they are responsible for strategy, innovation, and marketing. In this role, they focus on transformative strategic initiatives for the global leader in premium branded coated and painted steel products.

Prior to their current role, James served as the Director of Corporate Development & Communications for Greater China at Ecolab from 2014 to 2023. Before that, they worked at Ingersoll Rand as the Director of Strategic Business Development and a Senior Business Development Manager from 2007 to 2014.

James also held the position of Marketing Manager, China at Elkay Manufacturing, where they were responsible for M&A, strategic marketing, market communications, export sales, and customer service. James worked at the company from 2004 to 2006.

Earlier in their career, James worked as a Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting, managing market study, market entry strategy, and M&A projects. James also worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a Legal Assistant, conducting legal due diligence for M&A projects.

James began their career as an Account Executive at Ogilvy & Mather, executing advertising campaigns, and as a Project Assistant at Nantong Economic & Technological Development Zone.

James Li earned their B.A. degree in British & American Language and Literature from Fudan University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993.
