Matthew Stevenson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of LED technology and optoelectronics. Currently, they are the Director of Technology at NS Nanotech, where they are responsible for the development of their LED technology and its transfer to manufacturing partners. Prior to this, they worked at Luminit Light Shaping Diffusers as a QA and Metrology Manager, where they coordinated an ISO-9000 audit and led the QA efforts. Matthew also worked as a Sr. Optoelectronics Engineer at Luminit, where they designed test systems for holographic optics and implemented a machine vision system for quality control.
Before joining Luminit, Matthew worked at QD Vision, Inc. where they held various roles including Group Leader in Advanced Product Development, Device Performance and Applications, and Device Performance and Physics. Matthew managed teams focused on product performance, reliability testing, and integration into next-generation systems. Matthew also worked as a Sr. Device Test Engineer at QD Vision, where they developed test protocols and hardware/software for quantum dot LED products.
Matthew's earlier work experience includes being a Science Teacher at Spring High School, a Process Scientist at DuPont Displays where they worked on LED displays, and a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Barbara. Matthew also worked as a Project Engineer at Durr Environmental.
Matthew Stevenson completed their Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan from 1992 to 1995. Matthew then pursued a Masters degree in Materials Engineering at UC Santa Barbara from 1997 to 2000.
