Colin Willson

Frontend Developer / Hardware prototyper at nSight Surgical

Colin Willson has a wealth of experience in the field of technology. Colin began their career in 2004 as a Filmmaker for the Blue Rage Foundation, where they were responsible for overseeing and operating a research vessel to film Great White sharks, with an emphasis on conservation and awareness. In 2008, they became the Head Sailing Instructor at the Los Angeles Yacht Club. In 2013, they joined California College of the Arts as an Intel Technologist-in-Residence, working on a series of projects to explore available technologies with the goal of finding effective and appropriate solutions to user-centered problems. Colin also provided one-on-one help to fellow students in understanding basic concepts for class assignments. In 2014, they became a Design Technologist at SENSOREE. The following year, they took on the role of Digital Electronics Instructor at Randall Museum. In 2017, they were a Technologist and Co-Founder at Vibrant Labs Inc. and a Design Engineer at menuMe, Inc. Colin currently works as a Frontend Developer and Hardware prototyper at nSight Surgical.

Colin Willson attended California College of the Arts from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Interaction Design.
